Hair Loss Shampoo, Does It Work?

People with hair loss hope for hair loss shampoo product to heal their hair issues. The question to be answered is whether the hair loss shampoos on the market are effective in healing hair loss?
The answer depends on many factors. But most hair loss shampoo products can not totally cure baldness or hair loss.

Hair Loss Shampoo and Baldness

Hair loss shampoo cannot help to recover baldness. If there is hair loss shampoo product comes with claims able to regrow hair on the bald area, then you should be wary. Baldness is usually restored with the help of a hair transplant.

Nevertheless, hair loss shampoo can help maintain healthy hair, as thickening the hair and strengthening hair roots. It's quite helpful for people with baldness, if the hair around the bald area experienced significant thickening, then their hair will look fuller.

Hair Loss Shampoo, how does it work?

Some shampoo products work by blocking DHT, a hormone that responsible for baldness and hair loss problems. This is a most reasonable excuse for a hair loss shampoo product to claim that it can prevent hair loss.

Other shampoo products work in aiding hair growth and strengthening hair. This means hair loss will be postponed. Hair loss will be replaced by new hair. Similarly, the hair will become stronger, which in turn, hair loss will be prevented. Vitamin such as B6 and Panthenol has been known to strengthen the hair.

The Conclusion

The conclusion from all above is that all hair loss shampoo products cannot replace baldness. But hair loss shampoo works in many ways, among others, thickening the hair, providing nutrients to the hair until the hair becomes fertile, prevents hair loss by blocking DHT, and make the hair thicker.

Estimating Hair Transplant Cost

Are you bald and want to look perfect like before? Of course you can ... you can consider doing a hair transplant. But the important thing to consider is the cost. How much does it cost? Hundreds of dollars or thousands of dollars? Actually there is no definite price for a hair transplant, because it all depends on several things.

First, the type of surgery
Currently there are two methods of hair transplant. FUT and FUE. FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) seem to be chosen more for reducing cost and time reasons. This method of is done by cutting a strip from the back of your head, then the hair was taken from the strip. Strand after strand of hair transplanted into the bald area on your head. This method greatly saves time because you'll get a lot of hair grafts per session surgery and provide quick results. In addition, surgery cost is relatively cheaper.

The second method is the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction). This is the latest method in which the hair is harvested one by one out of your head and then implanted in the bald area on your head. Of course this requires a long time and consequently the surgery cost is more expensive, maybe double the surgery cost using FUT method.
Follicular Unit Extraction

Second, the number of grafts needed
If your baldness is very severe, covering large areas, of course, this will result in the increasing number of transplanted hair on your bald area. Sure the price will be more expensive, because the surgeon would cost you  upon the amount of hair transplanted onto your head.

Third, the number of sessions required
In general, transplant surgery can be performed in a single session. However, in certain circumstances, such as wide area baldness, covering almost the whole of your head, then it may take more than one surgery session. This results in more expensive surgery cost.

Finally, the level of expertise of the surgeon. This is reasonable when a more skilled surgeon charge a few cents little bit more expensive to a strand of hair than those who are less skilled. But, you better spend a little more expensive costs with satisfactory results than you save money but end up in disappointment.

Thedecision to perform hair transplants should be considered carefully. It's not the matter of cost, rather a lifestyle issue. So, make sure that hair transplantation is the best choice for your life.

Hair Loss After Giving a Birth and How to Prevent

Every woman wants to have a child. Pregnancy and giving birth are the happiest moment for every woman. But beside the joy, being a mother is a new experience and a great responsibility. Caring for a baby with love is something very pleasant.

Changes have occurred, including changes in your body. Weight gain, breasts and other changes that you might not notice.
Hair Loss after Pregnancy

One thing that often happens to woman giving birth is hair loss and thinning hair. If you're observant, you'll find your hair becomes thinner and more easily fall out. Why did it happen to you and the mothers who give birth?

All of it is the responsibility of estrogen, a hormone in women. The hormone estrogen changes on a woman who gave birth and results in hair loss. When you're holding your little baby, your body will produce more estrogen. This result in the growth phase of hair that ends very faster. That is, the hair growth phase will end more quickly than normal.

The situation changed drastically in a few weeks after you give birth. The hormone estrogen will return to normal levels. Something that will cause the hair to die suddenly. However, in most women, it will end after a few weeks after birth. That's after you lose up to 500 hairs every day.

At this stage, hair loss can be reduced. Some experts suggested eating more consumption of foods containing vitamins A, B, C, and E. These vitamins have been known to help women from hair loss. Other treatment is to manage your emotions and reduce stress. In addition, you can use hair loss shampoo to keep hair clean and make the hair look fuller. Comb your hair with an appropriate comb after your hair dry.

One important thing to remember is that the phenomenon of hair loss for women giving birth is temporary. This is not a disease but symptoms that arise due to the instability of the hormone estrogen in your body. After several weeks, the hormone estrogen back to normal, and your hair will be back to normal again.

Trichotillomania Behavior Disorder and Its Healing Method

There is a behavioral disorder that attacks the hair. The Behavior disorder is called trichotillomania. In short, trichotillomania is a psychiatric condition in which a person has a big boost to pull out the hair on her own. This is a form of hair-pulling habit without being controlled by the sufferer. Several studies have found that the behavior disorder is caused by an imbalance of chemicals in the brain. Some researchers were also linked trichotillomania with genetic factors.

Trichotillomania can affect every person, male or female. Research has shown that women have the possibility of suffering trichotillomania two times greater than men. In general, trichotillomania disorder occurs in adolescence, although it was likely that a person experienced it since five.

The cause of trichotillomania has not yet actually been known. Some researchers believe that genetic factors play a role in behavioral disorder trichotillomania. Another opinion is that the cause of trichotillomania is psychiatric factors such as excessive anxiety or stress conditions. That's why when someone is under stress, the urge to pull her own hair becomes very big.

Recent research found the possibility that the cause of trichotillomania was a chemical imbalance in the brain, called neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters of the brain served as a communications center.

As it relates to an imbalance of chemicals in the brain, people with trichotillomania usually need medical attention from medical experts. Even so, stopping the bad behavior of trichotillomania is not easy. It require patience and a strong desire from trichotillomania sufferer to quit the bad habit. So the handling of trichotillomania involves the two methods of treatment and non-medical therapies.

A non-medical treatment commonly applied is to encourage people to resist the urge to pull hair, by diverting the desire to pull hair into focus on other activity. By conducting activities that occupy people, like knitting while watching TV or other activities. The goal is to reduce and weaken the impulse of desire for sufferers of trichotillomania to pull hair, pushing it until disappear.

Why did You Bald and I didn’t

Men destined to suffer from baldness more than women. But that does not mean all men will suffer from baldness. In fact, there is a bald man and another man is not bald. So, what causes baldness in human hair?
In general, the baldness is caused by three things:
First, genetic factors
Second, the presence of excessive male hormones
Third, aging.

The presence of hormonal factors in men can explain why baldness is often found in men. This is due to the presence of androgen excess. Androgen or testosterone is found both in men and women. However, the concentration of androgen in men is much greater than in women. Androgen will turn into DHT (dihydro-testosterone). DHT is derived from the metabolism of testosterone / androgen with the help of the enzyme 5 alpha reductase.

DHT works by blocking the way protein and vitamins and minerals to the hair follicles. This means the hair follicles do not get the intake of food to sustain life. Finally, the hair follicles die of starvation. Thus, hair loss and baldness will occur.

Although naturally, the hair can regenerate itself, but the presence of DHT will slow down the hair regeneration. The new hair growth won’t  exceed the hair fall. In other words, the growth phase (anagen) is shorter than the resting phase (telogen).

DHT also causes hair to become thin and smooth. This process is known as a miniaturization process that will eventually lead to hair fall.

As a solution to hair loss and baldness, current hair care products present to block the synthesis of DHT.
